I drive about 15 miles each way of highway and about 5 unlit frontage road with plenty deer 4x a week for work. Daylight when I head in, dark usually when I head home. For those last 5 miles the led headlights and fogs have been helpful. More than either is driving slower at night. As most, I want to get the hell home when it’s time to come home, but I really do not want to hit any kind of animal especially a deer. If I had to drive a lot in the dark in deer country I would probably consider a or a few light bars vs. trying to hack the cpu. I like having a factory warranty and do not like having to explain why x, y, or z is broken and its not because I paid to have some coding changed. If you can find a programmer that will do the work for less than a bar or two and that makes you happy = go for it!!! It’s your Jeep (bumpers, grill, hood, etc.) that might take a hit. Address the deer threat to your insurance claims as you see fit. Just wanted to drop the light bar option as a consideration for yaSeached the forum and couldn't see this one. Is it possible to have the fog lights on and the headlights on bright? Do I need a programmer to change it?
I live in deer country and every bit of light helps.
@larrynjeanOn most of our previous vehicles I had the fog lights work with the hi-beams, but with the newer technology I cannot get this accomplished...
During deer season I drop travel speed 20 mph - but it still scares me when they surprise me on the side of the road - I’ll look for a light barI drive about 15 miles each way of highway and about 5 unlit frontage road with plenty deer 4x a week for work. ThanksOn our 18 JL S I went with the HIDprojector headlights and the Diode Dynamics LED fog lights...I can see very well at night...I live in prime deer country...

Time to get Tazersnipe:
@larrynjean
You can in fact accomplish ......... but it will cost you the $ amount of the TazerJL. Yes, the programmer can enable fog lights on with brights.
The Tazer JL can also disable ESS, disable auto park and more.
@KennyTime to get Tazer
Timing right?! Tonight on my way home, right where it starts to get dark... two younger ones decided to cross the road right in front of me. I think they are beautiful animals and do not ever want to hit one, luckily I was only going about 25 when I saw the first one.. hell, guess i need to take my own advice and get some bars lol! - didn’t hit either forgot that partDuring deer season I drop travel speed 20 mph - but it still scares me when they surprise me on the side of the road - I’ll look for a light bar
Yes, it does. It really is a shame though, that Super Chips can't get the Flashcal to disable ESS and Auto park.The Superchips flashcal does this as well.
