I just picked up my new wrangler this past weekend and noticed the rear doors have a black foam block stuck to the front inside edge. Does anyone know what this is for? I'm not sure if this is something that was supposed to be removed before delivery or if it is for some other purpose.

Pretty sure that is leftover shipping foam. I haven't seen anything like that.

My JLUS also has that foam (see picture). Pretty sure this IS NOT shipping foam and is there to provide weather and noise sealing for the doors. I would not remove it.

I thought you were talking about a rectangular block of foam. That is insulation that should not be removed.
