This is my first time installing the necessary items for flat towing. I am installing these items on a 2024 four door. I have a long list of items to be installed. My question is at the tail lights the Mopar instructions do not take into account the trailer light wiring. My question is, does it matter the sequence or orientation of these jumpers? I will probably have to post a picture to get a clear description of what I am doing I suppose. The RV tow harness part number is 82216358AB.

After going through all of the stuff you're going through I bought a set of these. They are working flawlessly after several years of use.

I installed an aftermarket harness from Roadmaster...it was spliced into existing wiring not involving the tow/hitch harness...toughest part was running a "jumper" wire from pass. side to Driver side ( took the "jack storage" area apart) ...I ran the main harness down the pass. side. inside the frame rail.
From what I can see from your picture...is that the connectors are "keyed" - they only connect one way...you cannot connect it incorrectly...if your question is "Do I install the connectors before or after the tow harness?"...I would guess "after" the tow/hitch harness???
A link to the Roadmaster "universal" flat tow harness instructions...mine works well with all the other Roadmaster accessories I use when flat towing ( bar, hitch, braking system)..hope this helps:

Wow! Your factory Mopar flat tow harness did not work?

Yeah, two of the female connectors are identical and two male connectors are identical.

Never bought the harness. Bought these for my JK and have continued to use them on my JL. Hookup entails putting them on the bumper and plugging the module into the 7 pin plug on the RV. Easier than any other solution I've seen and zero wiring on the Jeep.

Looking at the instruction you don't need to do anything behind the tail lights. That's the whole reason for the kit. Install the wiring behind the glove box (this is your tail light wiring) and run the wiring to the front by the grill and you are done. The brake and tail lights will work with no changes with the tail light wiring. I did this with a JK a few years back and that's the way it worked.

On my 2020 JLUR I did have to run the factory flat tow harness from the engine bay all the way to the taillights and license plate. Here's a picture but it looks a little different than yours. My factory harness has been working great for over 10,000 miles. The wife and I are full time in our class A since March of this year.

Hey, thanks for your reply. Do you happen to have the harness to tow a trailer behind your Jeep? Because that’s where the confusion starts on mine. I don’t know which one gets plugged in first or last or the proper orientation of these four connectors.

Yes! I bought the Jeep used but it came with the factory trailer harness. I've used it to tow a U-Haul trailer after installing the flat tow harness, and it worked fine.

Hey, I really appreciate the information Robie. In that case, I’m gonna plug in the trailer harness first and then the RV harness second. Again, I really appreciate your response. That helps me out tremendously. I hope this helps others in this same situation.

No problem - I wish I could be more help! It's been about a year since I installed it and can't remember which harness I plugged in first. I'm sure they are the same instructions you have but attached is the one I used. See pages 6-7.

Yeah, I just went and looked at my instructions and they are dated the same as yours. The instructions do not show the trailer harness. That’s why I’m asking before I plug things in. I’m not comfortable with electrical systems. Thanks.

Greetings Robie, I hope all is well with you. I really appreciate all the information you have given me. It has been very helpful. I was wondering if you have side marker lights on your Wrangler while towing.? I have no side marker lights. I would think I should have. Again thanks.

Hey OldBear, no marker lights except the rear parking lights when the RV headlights are on.

Hope all is well with you and yours!
