I have been to Moab in 2020, I went to Canyonlands and Arches. Wish I had Jeep back then, it would be more fun. ?Great Jeep!!! Come on out to Moab next weekend!! :D I'm looking for someone else to hit some trails with.
From the sign on your pic it’s 28 miles. “Pic nick area.” If you ever want to camp across the way at Mt Charleston and all sights are full with Prius and carollas you can go to top of Mormon wells for free and be alone up there.Wow! Is it about 40 miles from Corn Creek to get there?
Sweet! I'm going for my first time this weekend, going solo unless someone from one of the forums chimes in they want to go. Current itinerary:I have been to Moab in 2020, I went to Canyonlands and Arches. Wish I had Jeep back then, it would be more fun. ?
sometimes you will hear the slamming of sphincter muscles.Pucker factor is that feeling you get when you lose control of the vehicle and you clench your ass cheeks together so hard you put a crease in your seat cushion.
I agree. Wheeler Pass (on the Pahrump side), Lovell Canyon are good ones. Aztec wash in Nelson will take you down to the Colorado River, a few side trails on this ghat will too. Bittersprings road in valley of fire is pretty cool. These are all trails that can be done in a stock wrangler. @JLTruman and I have done all these in our stock jlu sport and jl sport s wranglers.Welcome fellow 'sin city' Jeeper!
There's lot's of great novice trials around Vegas - as well as plenty to challenge you.
Another good entry level one close to town is Potosi Pass. It runs from Mountain Springs over to Goodprings, has some nice terrain deviation and great open views.

After stopping by the Pioneer Saloon you can take Cottenwood Valley rd (dirt) to Wilson Tank rd (dirt) back and come out on hwy 160 just after the Blue Diomond turn off. It's a good 4 -5 hour loop. Or cut it down to 3ish hours and just take the 15 back to town.
Not super traveled but has cell service the whole way - and you can hit the Potosi gmrs repeaters if needed as well.
If you're gonna solo stuff out here make sure; a: someone knows your planned route, b: get a trail radio (gmrs) installed and c: add S.N.O.R.R. to your facebook pages. They are an amazing group and do free recovery- just in case
I also reccomend investing in a membership to either Gaia GPS or Onyx Offroad. Having a live trail map on your phone - and now on your center screen (both are Android Auto and Carplay compatable) is really comforting. There's a whole lot of desert to get lost in out here.
Hope to see you on the trails soon my friend!
Anna,Went for a mini off-road trail today. Lots of rocks on the ground. What do you guys switch to when 4x4 or just going regular way? I want to come back as I discovered bunch of trails! Pics attached. I am first timer ?

Same here - except not in a rubi. Have quick disco's that come off as soon as I hit dirt, while the staun's air me down. It just makes for a better ride quality.I'm going to go against the crowd here and say I'd probably be in 4H on the terrain shown. My reason though is that with the Rubicon I can then disconnect the front anti-sway bar to help smooth out the ride assuming I'll stay below the 17 mph so the bar stays disconnected. Also; if my plan is to spend the day exploring that road I'll air my tires down as well to also try to smooth the ride a bit.
AKA "butt clencher"What is pucker factor?
