I'm planning my first Rubicon trip and I'm having a hard time finding a place to park my truck and trailer. I'm coming from Arizona and will be towing my jeep driving through Nevada on the east side of Lake Tahoe. In there perfect world I would like to park in Meyers or somewhere in South Lake Tahoe to minimize the backtracking before or after the Rubicon. Does anyone have any recommendations that are safe to leave a truck and trailer for several days?

Thank you in advance for your help

It seems like there are always trucks and trailers parked at the staging area at the Tahoe end of the trail. I don't know if they are just there for the day, or for a few days.

Yes, you can park at the Tahoma side of the trail in a large parking lot. It is unattended at night. The first year I went, I parked my truck at Ice House Resort. Contact Julie at 530-293-3321 . It's about 18 miles up from Pollock Pines on Ice House road. They have a lot of room.

This last year, I left my truck at the Stage Coach Inn where we stayed. I gave the motel a $20 or $25 fee. But I don't know if they have enough room for a truck-trailer.
