My king of the rim fire was a Browning Buckmark. I put 225,000 rounds through it and Browning rebuilt it twice for me. I shot a couple thousand rounds through it a month for a very long time. My oldest sun now has it.

My current Browning Buckmark. It has been flawless.

So far, just CCI V-Max.

I´ve not had the best luck with rimfire semi-auto pistols. I have an older GSG 1911 that mostly runs well until it gets dirty. I also have a .22 Ruger LCP that started out horribly until I put an aftermarket spring kit in it. It still has an occasional failure after many rounds, but it is getting better. That one, btw, is almost as fun as this S&W....almost. Lol. I call it my pea shooter.

But this S&W is the king of rimfire for me, so far.
Dan, that is top-quality ammo for that weapon. I’m running that, Winchester SuperX, and Federal WMR. After about 500 rounds, my Smith is a honey badger; it doesn’t seem to give a crap what you feed it.

Rimfire semi-auto pistols have always been problematic, but I too had a Ruger (SR22), which cycled the .22LR flawlessly. It too was fun, but not nearly as much as this S&W M&P 22 Magnum! Also, not nearly as accurate too.

Yes, the accuracy of this thing really stands out! I went with the V-max just thinking that the plastic tip might feed a little better until things get broken-in. Not sure if that really makes a difference, but I can confirm it doesn't hurt.

My little LCP .22 seems to like brass coated CCI round nose ammo, too. I'm confident it will become Ruger reliable soon. I just need to shoot it more often. That's hard to do when the S&W is continually begging to be fired! LOL!

I’ve had a few rimfire pistols. The best for me has been my Ruger MKIV. This thing gets shot every weekend and doesn’t get cleaned near as much as it should. I’ve been mostly using Remington bulk ammo through it with a suppressor. That suppressor gets things nasty, but so much fun.

Travis, what product do you use to clean your suppressor? The compensator-cut slide of my Sig P226 X5 Legion gets pretty nasty at the end too. This stuff works well for me, with a little soaking first. https://www.breakthroughclean.com/breakthrough-clean-technologies-suppressor-cleaner-16oz-clear

I specifically bought a 22 can that can be disassembled and cleaned. So I pull the baffles out and run them through a wet tumbler with stainless steel pins for a few hours.

The only suppressor that I have that’s sealed is a Dead Air Primal. For that one I’ll occasionally shoot some normal 5.56 through. Seems to work pretty well the blast from the 5.55 breaks up the carbon and it spits it out the end. But centerfire isn’t nearly as nasty as rimfire.

Shot a few older pistols this weekend.

My old man's High Standard Sentinel shot very well despite the meh sights.
My FEG HiPower clone is always alot of fun.
That old Browning (pre-Buckmark)
was a bit of hit or miss in reliability. I was trouble shooting it for a buddy.
My new 10shot King Cobra was a real hit at the range though.
I had a couple cash offers for it on the spot but I think it's a keeper...

I also got to put my retro build through some paces and it was flawless.
There's nothing like the recoil impulse of a 20" DI rifle system.
Probably one of the lightest rifles I own (the only one without an optic) but still fully controlable off hand shooting even in binary...

Yep!
(Though it's actually an A2 with A1 handgaurd and flashhider cause I love the look..)
I plan on keeping it irons only cause IMO the A2 sights are some of the best ever put an a military rifle.

Taurus TX22 with a Freedom Fingers FRT.
Stupid fun and still cheap enough to actually shoot.
Downside is that it no longer has a semi function, safe and FRT only.

Dude!
My cousin had one of those on the range this weekend too.
I think he said the FRT cost him like $40.
It was a hoot...
I call it his FaRT gun cause it ripps off like a flatulent chihuahua...
