Finally Upgrading - Looking For HVAC Controls Now

Hey all,
I am cheap when it comes to anything Jeep-mod related because I have too many hobbies. I just scored a 7" UConnect to upgrade the 5" that's currently in my base-model 2-door. I also ordered a used satellite antenna to keep the clock/GPS and potentially add Sirius down the road to this one as well (we have it in my wife's '18 Sport S).

That said, based on what I've read here I can swap this in, unlock it, and it will work just fine and not affect my original base-model HVAC controls. I have read of issues with members trying to change out the HVAC controls to get the volume and mute controls back and it only going full hot or full cold with no real in-between settings. Since I have a soft top base Sport, I don't need a rear defrost button, or heated seat/steering wheel options. It does have AC and an automatic so I need to retain the Hill-Descent button.

I saw a '21-up cluster that had single-zone temp controls (PFA below from Ebay) - does something like this exist for '18-'20? I tried looking on Carvana for an early JL equipped like that but had no luck so far.

It's been a while but IIRC that control won't work on an"18, I have a dual zone automatic control on mine which works ok if you add the cabin temp sensor and sun sensor. I have changed it a couple times because i eventually added Heated Seats and Wheel too. Even had the "Duck it" button on one and have since found a control for a 6 speed.
