They really do open up the "feel" of the Jeep. I don't notice it much when I put them on, but when I switch back to the full doors before winter, the window frames make it feel almost claustrophobic...

The open feel is where it’s at! The full doors are great for keeping the noise out, that’s about it. I had half doors on my 2dr and it was awesome. I dreaded getting the 4dr because it wasn’t a factory order and getting half doors is rare and expensive! I plan to run just the top w/out windows during the spring/summer. I do miss my 2dr.🥲 so many less doors to take off and store. 🤣🤣

I had the doors off most of last summer. I felt so constrained and squished after putting them back on in fall. But I can get some bad claustrophobia. Especially crammed in with big winter coats and seat belts pinning you in.

I finally got my half doors put on the Jeep. It’s still too cold to drive around with them here but I’m happy about how the rears turned out since I had to get them painted.

How much did it cost to paint them?

Can you still get half doors on a factory order? I noticed they aren’t on the online configuration, but that doesn’t mean much.

I don't experience claustrophobia, per se, but I refuse to drive with a coat on, no matter its construction. I really dislike the feeling of reduced movement and control that they can cause one to perceive.

Even when I was oot and aboot in January, when the mercury dropped below zero, I wore just a sweatshirt and turned the HVAC temperature knob to the right as needed. Fair credit to the Jeep's nuclear-grade heating; even with a soft top, I never had to have the Fan speed at its highest setting.

I did have my coat and gloves stowed in the back seat, on standby.

Did mine last week. NW Iowa here so we still will get cold, wind, rain, snow... Heater works great! When it's too bad out, I put on the driver's side upper only.

I generally don't either. I usually take it off and throw in the back seat or trunk area when driving. But some days in winter when it is -20F out up here in the frozen tundra with a -35F wind chill, you'll freeze your nipples off getting in.

This is how I’d run, the only problem is, I’m not sure how the wife or kids are going to enjoy riding like this.🤣🤣
