Been dealing with a minor health issue which made off roading a little uncomfortable.

Anyway been sitting in Hot Springs Arkansas off road park for four days and felt good enough today to try and tackle at least the 4 BOH trails.

Took some out of me but managed to get all four of them done, plus a few offshoots.

None are real hard but a little challenging in a few areas. Rubicon ridge was my favorite one. Little challenging and very scenic. Fun run was pretty cool climbing up rock face. A smidge like wheeling Moab.

Snake was okay and Quartz Canyon is a smidge challenging but only because of a lot of loose rock so you have to be a little careful in a couple areas.

All were fun and it's a beautiful area.

It’s good to hear you’re getting out with the Jeep. I was in the region and tempted about 5 years ago but it was a stock 19 Sahara and the family was with me…and I didn’t know what to expect. Chickened out. lol

IMHO it's always better to play it smart and safe. I have had to make that choice several times. Our jeep is all we have right now, can't afford series damage and hot springs off road park here offers no recovery services.

And as with all three of the parks we've hit Kansas Rocks, Southern Missouri off road ranch and here if it rains most of these trails can become impassable.

Even with a winch, if there is nothing to winch to, you can be stuck.

I look at it like this. Any trails I wanted or couldn't do, just an excuse to come back and do them later. Hopefully.

Hot Springs is a one of the nicer Off Road Parks that have Badge Trails. There are many trails in the park that are better than the badge trails. They have everything from mild to wild. Something for everyone. I enjoyed Rubicon Ridge the most of the badge trails too. I was not a fan of Quartz Canyon. I think it can be done in 2wd....... Now if you took K16 trail out to Quartz Canyon. Then you had some fun. I saw 37 degree rough downhill, and used lockers twice to make some of the climbs.

Nice to see you get out despite the health challenges.

Agreed, we did Kansas Rocks and SMORR before getting here. Hot springs is nicer, first park I've been to that has a 4XE charging station. Although Kansas Rocks trails were probably equally as fun.

We did do several off shoot trails, but I tried not to push it too much. Not the jeep, me.

I will add that all in my opinion are worth doing. We had a lot of fun in three parks we were able to do.

Well you made one mistake,. You drove by Disney Oklahoma. They have great wheeling, but no badge trails. It is also free to wheel there.
