Swapping out fender flares but having difficulty disconnecting the light. Pulled the red tab lock out and tried separating but it seems like it’s still locked in.

Anyone else have experience on this? Thanks!

sometimes the little red lock has just a little more than you think. Push back in and then pull back out should kinda hear a click. also need to pinch plug a certain way

After you pull the red tab out you still need to push in on a black tab on the bottom of the connector near where the red tab was slid away from

It looks like there might be a second tab that needs to be 'lifted' as well.

That tab holds the body side of the connector to the fender, the release is on the other side with the red tab. Sometimes it helps to push the connector together and then push the release tab in and then pull them apart, seems to release pressure on the latch.
