Hello Jeep family, I have my 2024 wrangler sport two door and now looking for a set of fender flare extension.

It seems there are very limited options for sport trim, the majority are for Sahara… not too sure if there is any recommendation…

thanks

Someone will chime in but don’t the Sport and Sahara use the same fender design?
The Rubicon fender design is different, I feel like I read the others use the same, low fender, design.

My limited understanding is that there are high and low OEM fender types (plus several variations in lighting and paint). Whether a given VIN had high vs. low type varied not only with trim line (e.g., Willys) but also with MY. For example, the Willys pictured in @Sparty’s Mopar Parts image above was equipped with high (a.k.a., Rubicon) fenders, so it’s a late MY, likely a ‘25.

I’ve been told that for my 2021 Willys (which I’ve almost made into an XR), the best approach for my low fenders is to start with four rear Gladiator fender flares, and fabricate/heat/bend/trim from there. But I haven’t done it yet,

My understanding is limited, but here’s my thoughts. I think the Sport has a front flare that is different than the Sahara (and Rubicon), in that it is made to fit with the added molded part on the front bumper to fill the gap between the bumper and the flare. I’m not 100% sure, but i don‘t think Sport and Sahara flares are interchangeable because of this.
Sahara flares and Rubicon (technically called “High Clearance”) flares are interchangeable. The “Extreme Recon” flare extensions referenced above will fit on any Rubicon (High Clearance) flares, their mounting holes line up with the plastic rivets that hood the inner flare in place, and are molded to the same shape as the Rubicon flare, I’m not 100% sure they’re molded to the same shape as a Sahara flare.
ive attached a couple pictures showing the difference between Sport and Sahara front flare design.

I ordered these for my Sahara. easily attached with a rivet gun. Came with new rivets but I also bought a little rivet tool that came with a bunch of different sizes.

Here's where I got them.
non rubi fender flare extensions
And they specify sport vs sahara. I was under the assumption that sport/sahara fenders were the same minus that plastic piece by the grille. So I'm unsure what the difference is without really looking at the page.

Here's a few pics installed. I like em

not implying there’s anything wrong with those, in fact they might be better for the original poster, since he has a Sport and these (from Amazon) appear to offer model specific versions, but my answer was specifically regarding the OEM MOPAR Extreme Recon extensions referenced above.

Yea If OP buys the mopar ones that Sparty shared they will not fit. You are right, the shape is slightly different and will not align. That's why I bought the ones I linked as I also don't have a rubi. I was saying they have an option for the sport vs sahara but I didn't think there was a difference in the shape/height of sahara vs sport.

I think the JL Saharah option would work for you, if not I think they also have free returns...

Yes but mine is a sport so plastic fenders…
Are you buying extensions for the red Sport in your profile pic? Only asking because they are high line flares and not stock Sport low line flares (at least the fronts). This obviously would impact which version you need.

Yes profile pic is the one. I am pretty sure it is low flares
