Hoping to get some help locating a reasonably price source to buy the fender clips. Those clips that break off every time the fenders are removed at $1 a piece.

Part number is; 68526185AA

Thanks

I don't believe these are the right ones. There was a change from the JK to the JL. I bought similar ones that said they were compatible with both and they require a LOT of force or some modification to work with the JL/JT.

@ResqFE , I buy mine from Northridge4x4. They only have 1 in stock right now, but I usually keep an eye out when I know I'm doing fender work soon:

They worked fine without issue with my front fenders

I added these when I did the fender chop:

100% worth it, super easy to install and much much stronger then the clips.

This is the rivet tool I used which made the install a breeze:

AAL is another quality option, but about $30+ more than the MetalCloak ones. Both AAL and MC versions are available in black so they blend in better.

I made my own fender retention hardware from Amazon. M6 stainless rivnuts and matching stainless bolts with 1/4 inch stainless washers (because they were wider). I think I did the whole thing for 30 bucks.

I went with AAL since it’s all the same Rivet nut and bolt for all holes.

MC uses traditional nut and bolts in 40 of the holes and rivets in 20.

$30 for easier install and easier fender removal.

Ah, ok. That makes sense. I did not realize that.
