In NH, you won’t pass inspection with any tire poke, so the fender flares on the XR solve a problem for us. I was planning to do a fender chop for some additional clearance, however, I am wondering now if that will mean I can’t reattach The XR Fender Flare Extensions. Has anyone done this successfully?

If it isn’t possible, I may just stick with taking the liner out and replacing it with some Artec Aluminum ones since that is the area I am most concerned about with run from 37s, even after a 3.5” Game Changer lift.

Yes, with a fender chop you will delete the edge trim to which the XR fender flare extensions are attached.

may just do the inner fenders then and save the chop until I finish everything to confirm whether I need it

With 3.5" of lift you won't need to fender chop for 37's. We ran 2.5" of lift, fully flexed on many trails, with 37's and no issues. The only rubbing we had was the back of the rear fender liner where it bumps out. Trimmed that piece off with a pocket knife on poison spider 2 years ago and no issues since. Stock Rubicon wheels with a 1.5" spacer.
