The other day I went to start the Jeep (manual trans so you have to hold the button down) and it turned over but didn’t fire. This happened a 2nd time. The 3rd time it fired but then sputtered for a second, but it stayed running. Otherwise I’ve had no problems with it. It’s almost like it detected some condition under which it shouldn’t start.

Any thoughts?

What button did you have to hold down?

You have to hold the start button. OP, 20k miles on my manual and I’ve never encountered that. Bad gas, maybe?

Maybe? Air in the line or something? Idk, it was weird, almost like some glitch in the engine computer that refused to send fuel or spark.
