Engine rev at start

So when I start my engine it seems to run at 1500 RPM, then it throttles down on its own to 700, Is this normal? I am not touching the gas. And If I back out of my garage it takes off ion reverse like a rocket.

Only if I remote start it but only does it for about 15sec and goes back to normal. If I have driven in the last hour or so no just the first time of the day starting.

I think it’s got something to do with the a/c setting but could be wrong.

Every car does this but at about 1,200-1,400 to warm up the cats. I wouldn’t be concerned.

My jk was the same. One time left it in 4lo, went out later to move it, and the brakes would barely hold it in place when I put it in gear.
