I swapped out Falcon 2.1 (pre SP2 Mode adjust) that came with the 1.5inch TerraFlex lift kit with the FOX 2.0. I always thought the rear was too stiff on my sport with 33" tires. While I did lose some of the sports car nimbleness I enjoyed with the digressive Falcons, the significant speed increases the FOX provide on choppy trails makes up for it. I'm so happy with the FOX I almost wish I would have sprung for the reservoir version. Now I find out about the leaking issues posted here...
I had come to the conclusion that the Terraflex valve curve philosophy is for big builds more than the minor mods I have. Does that make sense?
Also, I had a clunky rumble sound seemingly coming from either side of the rear axle that I chased for years. Every road seam I encountered rumbled predictably. At higher speeds it would be less noticeable. I checked all torques repeatedly, replaced the track bar and finally just lived with it. The fact that changing to the FOX 100% eliminated that noise made the change more than worth it. My morning commute is a pleasure now as it was especially bad in the cold. I was not expecting that bonus and I still don't know why the Falcons installed on my Wrangler made that annoying noise. I just can't see how I could have messed up the install and the replaced Falcons appear to be sound and solid.
Any ideas why?
