Yikes. Definitely one of the cringiest mods for Wranglers. Next thing you know that non-Rubicon w/ Rubicon decals ends up looking like one of these abominations. Haha

Older gentleman in town has 392 badges all over his Mojave. Whatever makes him happy is??by me. Can’t care less what others drive.

I had a jeep behind me at the car wash and it was a sport or Sahara with rubicon on the hood. Definitely not a rubicon. I drove away smirking because she (driver) had fake hair extensions, fake nails, and probably a fake Luis vuiton hand bag. fake ass people......
I have a Sahara will a Rubicon hood. Decals on the hood say Wrangler and the fenders still say Sahara. Maybe she just like the looks of the hood? Why does it bother you so much? Did she not wave?

I remember swapping the cosmetic hood vents on my Challenger RT with the functional ram air vents.…thought that was cool, and was a cheap functional upgrade.

The Rubicon look nice though….
If the after market came up with functional extractor vents I bet they would sell!?

I know, huh. Especially if you spend $60,000 on a Rubicon and never take it off-road...
I'm not into rock crawling and honestly have no need for off-road capabilities above and beyond what a Sport could handle. I'd gladly buy a damn Sahara if they still made a 2-door. Think we discussed this before, but you simply can't buy a cheaper 2-door with factory LED lighting and painted fenders/hardtop any more, and that's simply what I want/expect in a modern vehicle.

Tbh, I personally think the Rubicon hood decal and red dash/stitching/badging is gaudy af, but to each their own.

Well- why not? Fake 392 badges on the fake hood scoop almost seems appropriate.

Well I guess changing hood, flares, grill, badges, and steel bumper group is totally against the rules then ?

She probably bought it that way and has no idea
^bingo. Dealer slapped Rubicon stickers on a Sport or whatever to get an additional $8k out of someone too ignorant to check the VIN (before showing up) or look for sway bar disconnect + diff locker switches (after showing up).

Jeep was probably advertised as simply a “Jeep Wrangler” with no mention of rubicon, but leaving the viewer to infer that its a rubicon because of the photos.

Are you insinuating there are shady, crooked, deceitful, dishonest, no integrity, sneaky, bait and switch dealers out there?? ( like the one who told me my 392 would be there in 2–3 weeks, then called 2 weeks later and said there was a “glitch” in the system and they weren’t getting the allocation) Obviously got an above MSRP offer and sold it. THAT KIND???
