I have a 2019 JLUR with factory tow package and te 4/7 wire connections. Trailer lights do not work when connected. Fuses checked good. Checked with trouble light and no joy there either. Ideas for the areas to check? I did read that the connection seems to connect behind the passenger tail light and will check there this evening. Any other advice is greatly appreciated.

If you've done a lot of wheeling. Check the connector on the back of the plug at the bumper.

Other than that, do you have rats?

I did unplug connector from the back of the 4/7 pin wiring and all looks good. Plugged back in. No joy. No..no rats. Have a stray cat that lives in my garage going on 8 years now. She earns her keep by leaving me mouse parts and mole parts on the doorstep from time to time. 🙂

Ah, time to use the multitool, then.

When you say that you "checked with trouble light", are you referring to something like this?

https://a.co/d/cxdEJoY

Has it worked for you in the past or is this the first time using it? Did you buy the vehicle new?

Here's a link to how the OEM harness gets installed: https://www.quadratec.com/sites/default/files/installation_instructions/K6864082AA.pdf

That might help you locate the wiring.
I checked it with a 4 wire plug like above but wo the 7 pin. I think I will order the one you linked and have it for future. First time using and, no, purchased it used. Thanx for the links.

Look up your original build sheet to see if the tow package was really a factory option or if it was added by someone afterwards. The hitch itself is very easy to add but the wiring can be more complicated. Especially if they tried to use the Mopar harness. Some people report needing to have it "activated" by the dealer. Maybe someone added it and never had it activated? Or it didn't get installed correctly. Not needed it you only use it to tow something like a bike rack or cargo rack.

Build Sheet: https://fcagroup.my.site.com/RAM/s/equipment-listing

You'll be looking for "Class II Receiver Hitch" and "7 and 4 Pin Wiring Harness" on the build sheet.

If all the fuses check out then check the ground on the trailer. Also, I have found it is easy to blow fuses, especially on the 7 pin plug. Always connect with the lights off

Those little bastards (and mice, ground squirrels, etc.) can wreak havoc on wiring.

I recently went through this with one of the two 7-way plugs on my CM truck bed on my 2022 RAM 5500 Cab & Chassis.

That trailer harness is for the Mopar harness install if not from factory right? I see the contol box by the passenger tail light assy. Mine goes thru the fuse box. How or where is my wiring terminated..under dash? Same route as Mopar add on? TIA

Anyone know the path of the wiring for the 4pin/7pin factory installed tow package? I have the 12v present on the 7pin but no lights (stop or turn) when testing using the 7pin plug in tester.

Brake controller wiring should terminate under the dash. I don't know about the factory, but my Mopar harness (add on) has it's own fuse. Follow the grounds under the hood on passenger side you might find one. Aside from that, it could be the module near the taillight has gone bad.
