Factory LED Taillight failure...what to replace it with?

Left rear LED on my 2018 rubicon JL is flickering and posting a message on the dash. Not giving Jeep $500 bucks for a new one that will probably also fail down the road. Question is what aftermarket Lights will work without having to rewire the plugs. Mine does not have the blind spot stuff just the factory LED. Looking on Amazon there are lots of choices but most say for replacing halogen style lights only. Any help would be appreciated.

I like the Oracle tail lights. Not cheap but worth it to me for the brighter back up light. Flush mount so if you break one of these on the trail (or mall parking lot) you’re trying pretty hard.

I second the Morimoto offering. I just installed them on my Jeep last week and I am extremely happy with them. I also added the back up light boost bar and it works flawlessly as it has a direct connection to the tail lights.

I second the Oracle flush mount. Great look and really bright backup light which I appreciate since I back in inches from the side of the house

I've had the Oracles since they were released. If you have BSM and want to keep it, I'd go Morimoto. I still prefer the look of the Oracles, though.

Here's another vote for the Oracle flush mount tails, doubly so since you don't have the BSM feature that the Oracles struggle to maintain, anyway. They offer plug-and-play installation, and since you have existing LED tail lights, you needn't faff with the provided resistors as do those folks, like myself, who had halogen lights from the factory.

The illumination provided by the Oracles when in Reverse is arguably nonpareil. As suggested, if you damage those particular lights, you probably have larger concerns to worry about.

The BSM works properly on the Morimoto, but without it it’s a matter of personal preference for looks. I prefer the Morimoto, didn’t get the light bar but the backup is better than stock without it, and fairly easily added if wanted.

@Spacenut - upon choosing Morimoto I signed up for alerts with Black Friday approaching, yep, within a couple weeks the sale was announced. ~$316 . Easter coming and sales are typically at holidays, Oracle likely the same.

a lot of the aftermarket options will sometimes send warning messages onto the dash as well, so be aware you might see the bulb out message from time to time

I vote you open your light and fix it. It's probably just a loose wire or something. It literally could just not be plugged in all the way.

If you want to use standard industry truck lighting. Pay more up front, but cheaper to replace units as they wear out:

They look nice and are very bright. BSM works but was overly sensitive so I turned it off. I don’t really need it.
