Factory Half Door Availability?

I am currently waiting for Mojito to open up for orders and it has been a painful & impatient wait . With that said, I would ideally like to be able to order the Jeep with half doors but the little information I have been able to obtain from these forums and Googlefu is that they will be available to order for the MY2019 Jeeps.

The million dollar question I have is does anyone have any insight / info about WHEN in 2019 the doors will become available? If they are available with the first 2019 orders and if Mojito continues to delay, I may hold off to order a 2019. I would assume they should be on some production build roadmap similar to what we have all seen for the 2018 JL rollout so hopefully someone somewhere would have an idea

I sent an e-mail to my dealer asking the same thing, he did not respond, which he is usually pretty good about, so I'm guessing the answer is, no one knows.

Did you ever hear anything? I would love some factory half doors, so much better than full door. Also why couldn't we have some frameless window surrounds. (convertables have had these for years)

Sorry for not updating the thread sooner...but as you probably guessed Jeep Cares has no insight regarding any potential options etc. on the 2019 Jeeps or availability of parts for next year. It would be awesome if there was a Jeep sponsored door/top swap program or something but I am hoping the prices won’t be prohibitively expensive.

Does anyone have any measurements on the JK half doors vs the JL? Is it possible to get the MOPAR half metal doors for the JK and put them on the JL?

I put my buddy's driver JK door on my JL and it hit at the windshield area differently because of how much more slanted it is. Being that the half door wouldn't come in contact with the windshield I don't know what would happen..however I still do not think it would fit.

He has some zebra strike force half doors ill try this weekend just for laughs

Yeah, the windshields are definitely different. It's so hard to tell with the half doors. I'm looking forward to your experiment!
