What did you have to do to remove the hook from the X20 10K? I am curious to know if you had to cut the hook off to install the Pro Link.

Yes I had to cut it off. Used an angle grinder.

I do believe that he was referring to the winch plate as far as modifications.....I plan on using this set up with a JCR plate.

To be fair, 0 modifications to install a stock winch using a Rusty’s plate.

The tow hook is errilivant to installing the winch.

But yes I did modify the winch to my needs. Lol

Look at other installs of that plate, I believe you bolt the fairled plate to the bumper, leaving 4 exposed bolt heads up front.

I see people using the rope but is it really as strong as a cable ?
