Factory Aux Wiring

I want to add small pod lights on the back bumper for reverse, trailer aux, whatever. It looks like everything comes with a wiring harness that has a relay & switch. With the factory aux switches, do I still need all the stuff that comes with the lights, or just run the wires up front, ground one, and attach the other to the appropriate switch hookup (blue/pink for aux4 in this case)? Do I leave the relay inline and just not use the packaged switch? Will it all just be obvious when I get in there and do it? First time adding electrical stuff, can ya tell??? ;-) THANKS!

Factory aux switches have their own relays and fuses. You can cut out what you don’t need.

Thanks! That SEEMED LIKE the obvious answer, but just kinda felt too easy. Better to ask than find out in a cloud of smoke.

No problem.
The only thing wrong with the factory aux switches is there’s only four. ?
