Hi all,
So I have a 2018 JLUR. After a weekend of wheeling I noticed the exhaust loop on the driver’s side had been crushed in by a rock. Not only was it crushed in, but it was pushed up and was making contact with the underside of the body tub. It also was leaking where the loop attaches to the muffler piping. I had to bend the exhaust down to put some space between the body and the exhaust. I went ahead and ordered a loop delete kit and installed it. Now it appears as though I have an exhaust leak where the cat bolts to the exhaust manifold. It looks like there are only 2 bolts that hold that thing on and then there’s some gasket/shim looking material between it and the engine. Is there a way to adjust or fix that? There’s a strong smell of exhaust every time I start it and if I’m heavy on the gas it’s much louder than stock. The louder exhaust sound is coming from the front drivers area, which leads me to believe that’s where the leak is.
Thanks,
Ray
