The sliders didn’t fail. They did push up into the bodywork. I talked with Tony and they sent me a new set of steel sliders but the damage is already done to both sides of my Jeep. Tony is a standup guy, I’ve met him in person. Great customer service, just wish I went steel to start. Here’s your...
Hey. The sliders hold up great. They’re well built and they look great. If you’re going to do any rock crawling I would stay away from them. Any time they contact a rock they’ll push up into the Jeep’s body work and dent it. Probably because the sliders are stronger than the JL’s aluminum body...
Hi. It was nose up at about 38 degrees. I was on a climb on an obstacle for about a minute or so at that angle. I spent a little time warming up the tires then started to climb. As I neared the top in second gear and the engine started knocking loudly and just about stalled. I had to give it...
Thanks for the reply. I recently changed the oil and put in whatever the required quantity was (5 qt’s if I remember correctly). I’ll have to check the level now. I have no idea what the pressure was at the time. It was a steep climb. I had at least a 1/2 tank of gas.
I have a 2018 JLUR with the 3.6L and auto trans. I’m finding that if I’m at extreme angles around 35 degrees or more my engine starts knocking really bad and will almost stall even on the gas. Anyone else have this problem or better yet a solution? It’s dangerous on tough obstacles.
Thanks,
I like that bracket idea. That looks really good. I'm still wanting double shear on the tie rod attachment and I want it closer to the tie rod end. Something to this effect. Pardon the sketch.
I'm currently running a stock Dana 44 on my 2018 JLUR with all Steer Smarts components and a Rock Krawler 3.5" lift. I had to get creative with my mounting. I was originally using my steering damper's bracket, but that quickly broke during my first wheeling trip with it installed. I swapped out...

Hello all,
During my last wheeling trip I had the front passenger wheel bearing fail. After it failed it also shredded the wheel speed sensor. I've replaced both the wheel bearing and the sensor with the following parts:
68394210AD front wheel speed sensor
68272624AC front hub assembly
All of...
Hi all,
So I have a 2018 JLUR. After a weekend of wheeling I noticed the exhaust loop on the driver’s side had been crushed in by a rock. Not only was it crushed in, but it was pushed up and was making contact with the underside of the body tub. It also was leaking where the loop attaches to...
I posted I had the same problem on my 2018 JLUR. The dealership finally got around to scheduling me to get in the body shop. Covered under warranty. My opinion is that the problem is dissimilar metals. The hinges are steel (to my knowledge) and the doors are aluminum. I’m surprised they don’t...
I do have a lot of aftermarket mods but nothing electrical besides a Tazer. It is properly married and or unmarried as needed.
My Jeep is my daily driver so it’s weird to see that warning.
