The factory exhaust on my wife's '18 JLU cracked right before the clamp where the y pipe meets the resonator pipe (on the resonator pipe side). In addition to the exhaust leak it also rattles on occasion. I looked up a replacement resonator pipe and they go for around $600. Does anyone know of a flange pipe that can be used to couple with the y pipe and either welded or clamped to the resonator pipe?

Don't want to just have a shop weld it back up?

That is certainly an option, but the pipe is pretty rusted out in that area (added picture above). If there isn't something I can do on the cheap, I will likely take it to a shop and have them fab in a new section of pipe. I also thought about contacting some of the local mod shops as I'm guessing they pull and toss factory exhausts on newer JLU's for those looking to add aftermarket systems.

If it's rusted out a flange pipe might just move the problem to recur in a year or whenever. I'd just bite the bullet and take it to a shop.

Edit: What am I thinking! Exhaust upgrade!!! :)

Thanks all. She is looking to get a new JLU in the next year which is why I don't want to put a lot of money into it.

Muffler shop, let them patch and/or weld in a short pipe.

But, why put off until next year, that for which you have a perfect excuse right now? I mean, there are personal loans and stuff, right?

Definitely not putting it off, but looking for a frugal option for a vehicle that she won't have for much longer. I think the recommendations of a muffler shop is my best bet. Thanks again all.
