Anyone got any clues as to what could be causing this? Oil squirting out the dipstick?

I'm going to start doing my own oil changes - so maybe it was just a simple little spill when the shop did my last oil change..?

My guess is it was just sloppy work. I guess they could have topsided it and let a bunch out of the tube when they pulled it. Otherwise, probably just clumsy with the fill.

If it was projectile, you'll see it on the hood liner.

When I change oil I always take that plastic cover off so I can clean around the base of the oil fill. There is always a ring of dirt on the fill tube that could easily fall into the engine when adding oil. The design of that oil fill cap is not good. It should completely cover the top of the fill tube.
