Easy Bumper upgrade for Wrangler 2024?

Want to upgrade my plastic bumper. We are semi handy ;-)

Any recommendation of an easy to install steel bumper that doesn’t cost a fortune - (and the fog lights), that don’t require special tools or knowledge? Thanks

None of the aftermarket bumpers require special tools or knowledge, especially if you're not installing a winch plate. If you already have fog lights, many of the aftermarket bumpers support installing stock lights in them. If not, adding fogs would require a minimal amount of knowledge and comfort running wiring.

The cheapest option would be to keep an eye on here, Craigslist, or FB marketplace for someone selling a stock metal bumper.

Define "a fortune." There are cheap Amazon specials for ~$300 if you're willing to take a risk in both fitment and strength/safety. Many people have run Amazon specials without issues (at least according to reviews), so just do some research into what you want in a bumper and how much use the bumpers can actually hold up.

Otherwise, as the other person has said, used metal bumpers is probably the way to go. Just make sure it's OEM and not cheap Chinese copy they're selling for OEM price. For how to tell between the two, just do a quick search as I don't really know myself, since I didn't really consider OEM metal bumper.

Not thinking Amazon but plenty on qaudratec-on sale now for Memorial Day- for sure under 700 usd. Don’t need a winch I think ;-)

I'd recommend buying a for light harness for a 2024+ since it's a pain to rip it out of the plastic bumper. You can sell the plastic bumper then too.

Or just rip apart the shitty plastic bumper.
