So it worked fine yesterday but today when I pull up on the e-brake it just falls back down, does not ratchet up and hold in place. It does engage as there is resistance and the brake light is illuminated on the dash. Any ideas or should I just not bother and take it to the dealer? I'm supposed to go camping this weekend

Did you wiggle the push button on the e-brake and make sure it's not stuck in the depressed position?

Well I feel dumb! You're right the button was stuck. Tapped it lightly with a hammer and it popped back out. Thanks again!

If it happens again, that’s probably worth a dealer visit.
