Hi all, Im debating if I should go with OEM Led headlights OR
DV8 Led headlights Part #: HLCJL-01.

How are this holding up? if any other flickering other than the switch to high beams??

overwhelmed with reading threads on getting the halos to work on the OEM requires more work + will need a tazer and a drive to the dealer to have a code put in place?

Pricing not a huge difference
$675 https://www.quadratec.com/p/dv8

$715 for OEM https://www.socalmopardirect.com/oem

LMK. :)

I ordered the DV8 headlights through Morris in April. After being told 3 different ETAs, I finally cancelled my order last week. The most recent ETA they gave me was that they’d ship end of August. I finally decided I was tired if waiting and would just order them in the future if I still want them. I bought the Kiwi masters for now.

the delays were because of DV8, not Morris, so I would think you’d have this issue no matter who you buy them through, although I think the Mopar ones are all back ordered, too.

Ty for the info,

Yes, as for the Mopar availability is end of September per dealer/partsdept,
not in a rush, will have to call them up tho to confirm.

I am incredibly happy with mine. I had the issue as discussed in this thread about the high beams flickering for a second when you turn them on. This was entirely corrected when I bought a tazer and turned on led headlight mode with it.

No other issues. They are great.

I ordered them directly from DV8 at the end of June. After 2 months of waiting and little to no response from DV8 I gave up. I saw the Overtread version was in stock at extreme terrain and got them within 4 days. They cost a little more but I was tired of waiting.

How ironic is it that Mopar OEM headlights are suppose to be available in September and the place I ordered the DV8s said they wouldn’t be available for a few weeks. The lights look identical. Could they actually be the same?

well, I just called DV8 and the lady told me they are “out of stock” and the only info she has is 4-6 weeks. So, given that I ordered them on the 7th through wreckless (who told me 4-5 weeks at the time of order) that would mean it could take a total of 6-8 weeks.

DV8 did say the status could change tomorrow.

I’m sure what to do. Given that my rubi may not be here for another few weeks, I can wait. But I don’t want it to go much longer than that.

May just cancel the order and get the Mopars instead, if they go back in stock before the DV8s. UNLESS, the Mopar and DV8s go back in stock at the same time. That would answer a question for us.

How are the overtreads holding up? Any issues compared to the DV8s?

Where did you wire the Halos to? DRL in the fender or fusebox?

Same issues I’ve read about

Same issue as the dv8 when switching from low to high beams, the LED cuts out for a second. But doesn’t bother me. When driving in heavy rain, some moisture builds up inside the headlights but quickly disappears. Other than that, no issues and light out put is much better than halogen. I had truck-lite led headlights on my JK, and the output on the overtread is a little better than those.

I did not wire the halos. Not sure I ever will. Just wasn’t a fan of halos. Wanted the Mopar style lights for the projector beam and 9 inch light.
