Hello FormerlyMort and Rubi,

The 2 door hardtop is expected to start production within a few days. Please note this is tentative and is subject to change. Very sorry for the delay.

Thanks very much for the update. I think we all would appreciate it if you might let all of us know (proactively) when you are made aware of any production delays. The level of interest, anticipation and frustration here is pretty apparent.

This JB status delay has been an issue with every Jeep (all models) release since the dawn of time everyone. If you search Google you'll see people trying to figure it out in 2006. This is nothing new, just a normal part of Jeeps production schedule.

I don't know exactly what it means, but it has always annoyed people.

Mine just went through JB last week in 3 days, it's not stickers. I have all the options except dual tops and leather. Maybe it's one of those two.

Hello!
Yes I can confirm that on the JL Wrangler Sport/Sahara the DEM Manual Transmission requires the DSA axle. I do apologize if this affects your decision due to the price increase.

If your dealer is too incompetent to know this, and doesn't add the option himself, can it cause production delay?

I have been in C-status since 11/27 (sent a PM a few mins ago with more details)

Yup, this is exactly what happened to me !
When I told him that it might be because of the DSA, because I had read on the forum, that orders placed before that change Jeep made, just staid in limbo, he said Jeep would’ve let him know if there was something wrong with the order.
Told him to call his FCA rep to check, he didn’t (pretended he emailed the rep).
So when I emailed the dealerships sales manager, mentioning I was gonna cancel my order because there was no way that after a month I hadn’t get a VIN and would still be in C if the order had been placed properly, he then came up with a list of all they did, including a call to the rep the day after I emailed him (or course when you get actual threats you call him), and adding the DSA 2 days after I placed my original order (while 4 days before the salesman had no idea about what I was talking about...).
So I went there the day after, got my deposit back, went to another dealer and got a VIN and D1 status within 2 days. So just run away from them !

Considering how they’re in the Mopar parts catalog ($29 I believe ?), pretty sure you can forget about getting em from the factory...
I mean that is something that should come with it, and I’m pretty sure it was stated that it does. But by that argument almost every factory part is on the mopar site sooooo not really valid argument.

Yeah, had to let you know lol
I wasted over a month with that clown... And since I’m in Canada I gave hime some kind of credit thinking there must be a few differences in terms of time frames, and he kept saying it’s a new vehicle... But when I saw the first other members of the forums ordering in Canada I was like « F it, the guy’s a tool ! »
So hurry to get an actual order placed somewhere else, these guys don’t deserve our 50k business

Well as much as I agree with other factory parts being available in the catalogue, I just mean all these other parts come or are available from the factory... So as long as I agree with you and they should include these parts with our new vehicles (I mean come on, can’t include $29 straps with a 30-50K vehicle ?!), I’m just mentioning this so we should just get to the point of realizing they’re not sending them...

Let’s be honest, they are really closer to $5 straps that could have been included with that expensive vehicle instead of offering them aftermarket at the inflated cost of $29. (Offering replacements at $29 would have been acceptable, because these thing will get lost.)

Oh no, for sure. Or more like 2$ considering how much they get done... Point is they’re playing cheap and low...!

Its way cheaper for individuals to get stuff like this, everything ends up 3x once it goes into a controlled supply chain.

Our internal R&D groans every time we select a special cable or connector and see it end up 3x what we bought it from a 3rd party (we hate it, we dont make any money on this, it is what it is)

We dont do it to make money, and we prefer our customers to get it themselves, but oddly most of the time they wanted it bundled up as a package from us..

Kinda wants me to open a business and marker stuff up only 2x, its still a better deal and I will sign the package to make it look signature edition lol

Wow, that sucks that that caused such a big delay. I knew I wanted that option anyway when I first saw it, but Jeep might as well just automatically check the box with any non Rubi manuals now.

That, or have "lsd axle delete" be a -$600 option on the automatics...
