Do I need Sirius xm Guardian to remote start my 19 Jeep?

No.. only if you do through the app. If you have remote start on your fob no subscription is needed to use the fob.

Ok thanks, I just renewed with Sirius Guardian and the remote start was really the only thing I cared about but for $35/ month I think I’ll be cancelling.

I didn't renew either.. the costs are crazy for all I would ever really use would be the uconnect remote start. Mine is also one of 5 vehicles we own so it gets costly to maintain subscriptions to things not necessary. It is a weekend vehicle mostly for me.

Ask them about the 6 month special. 10 bucks a month.

SXM has a sales strategy to overcharge everybody, but if you call them and say you're going to cancel, after several offers they will give you their lowest rate, which is reasonable. Personally I think that's a strategy that leads to a smarmy image, but it's a free country.
