Drl’s?

So do Rubicon’s or Sahara’s come with DRL’s? I purchased a sport S and only seems to have auto headlights and a parking light setting, any idea if this can somehow be customized or turned on? Hard to believe it’s not standard on all 2018 model vehicles since it’s been around so long and standard on so many manufacturers including Jeep with their many other models. Any ideas?

Jeez...I thought DRL's would have been standard, too. Whether they are LED's or the regular lights, running on low wattage.

This is interesting. Are you sure the DRL's don't come on automatically? According to the manual, DRLs will come on when you shift out of Park or are moving (6MT). The manual states the headlights act as DRLs. I always assumed the DRLs were in the fender.

EDIT: Wow, maybe DRL is only standard on the Sahara and Rubi. When I checked standard features on Jeep.com I only saw DRL listed for Sahara and Rubi. It's not listed for Sport or Sport S. Jeep really is cutting costs. Check your UConnect to see if you have a setting for DRL On/Off. The manual shows this setting option in UConnect 3 and it doesn't state "if equipped".

Both. The ones on the fender are brighter than the halos...but both are on.

With lights in auto position or off, I have no lights when in gear. Is this an option with uconnect?

I can not stand DRL. If its snowing, raining or dim lit I am smart enough to turn on my lights.

I’ll check again but didn’t see anything under settings on 7inch uconnect.

FYI My SRT DRLs only went on when the car is in drive. Park and reverse the DRLs would turn off.

Yes, LED drls are halo and fender. Watched a rubi video. Jeep.com lists drl standard on sahara and rubi even with halogens so might use headlight bulb and/or fender for non-LED. Let us know what you find out about Sport from dealer.

AEV Procal allows drl programming on JK so maybe it will be offered for JL also.

Too bad drl is not standard on Sport. At least you would think it would be part of safety group but I don’t see it listed there either.

My Honda Accord uses the high beam bulb at less voltage for drl and is visible when in park.
