Older Wrangler models used to offer a LSD and Selec Trac full tiem 4wd for snowy/wet conditions. Do any Jeeps come with either of these options any more, other than the Rubicon X?

My 2021 has 4Auto besides the 2WD and 4L and 4H options.
It's a Sahara.

In a Jeep Wrangler, BLD stands for Brake Lock Differential, a traction control feature that uses the brakes to simulate a limited-slip or locking differential, slowing down a spinning wheel to transfer torque to the wheel with grip, helping you get unstuck. It's an electronic system found on Wranglers (especially non-Rubicon models like the Sport) that uses wheel speed sensors to detect wheel slip and applies brake pressure to the spinning wheel, improving traction on slippery surfaces.

@newbie5150 A quick search shows that 2023 was the last year for limited slip. I've seen youtubers showcase the BLD, it seems to work well. That said, I still like the idea of having a real mechanical limited slip, which my 22 has in the rear. I am debating getting an Eaton Truetrac for the front.

Are you related to @Jeep Junkie ?

This whole thread could easily have been achieved with a simple Google search. 🤦‍♂️

No, not related. I have actually been trying to research this issue, and have posted questions in this forum and other forums. Unfortunately, there is a lot of bad information out there so I was coming here to try and clarify. Have a great night.

I have a 2021 Rubicon, which has LSD, and also has the ability to lock the rear differential in 4wheel high with a few tricks to Jeeps OffRoad+ system. This works great in the snow and on the beach where 4WL is not the right choice. I am not sure when this feature (4WH and mechanically locked rear wheel diff) ended and I am not sure which exact trims offered this particular feature. But it is simple and it is bulletproof. Also I find this forum to be invaluable. There are so many true experts here with the right information and the experience to guide others. The internet is a great thing but it is also full of BS, whereas this forum is not. People new to the Jeep experience come here for expert advice from experienced Jeep owners and this is where they get it.

Pretty sure this is right. I believe my 2023 Willys has LSD.

Personally I do not like LSD for snow and ice driving. LSD tries to push the rear end of the vehicle around rather than allowing the vehicle to track in a straight line. It’s particularly annoying on icy roads. I’ll take 4-high and open diffs any day of the week for those conditions.

My only beef is that I cannot use the rear locker in 2-high. On my Ram 1500 I could and it was useful in certain situations.

You can with the tazer, yea its $300 but being able to unlock the swaybar whenever and use features that Jeep locked behind 4lo is nice.
