Those are probably my first choice but I don't want to remove the door panel. I'm researching these at the moment. I think there maybe a few advantages of the soft pockets. My stuff won't rattle in them, easy access, soft against the seat and leg.

Don’t remember removing the door panel being that bad (only removed a couple of times to get the half doors painted)… maybe it was beginner’s luck?

the main deterrent for me has been price. When I’m at their website and add everything I want from Overland Outfitters it adds up to like $1k!

I must not be hard enough on my door net. Almost 6yo and it's holding up though I added a cupholder a few years back.

Mine are still in good shape too but I purposely don't put anything in them for that reason. I'd kind of like to use them once in awhile, for a few small items.

I wonder how long the adhesive will hold up on those. I do like the idea though.

I don't seem to have good luck when it comes to interior door panels. In my younger days I had to remove one to fix the window on my 1977 Pontiac Lemans, I had to glue it back on. I was in the process of removing one on a hatchback, it was taking forever. I couldn't find all those little clips. I'm not proud to say this but I had a slight moment of rage and tore that sucker off like the incredible hulk. 😥

I actually had that same thought and how long before they soften and start to sag......? 😕

I have these in my ‘24 JLUR...they are nowhere near as wide as they appear to be, which is a major issue, making them almost useless. You cannot put anything of any size in the narrow part, no way would a bottle of booze fit.

As for a pistol, they may work if you’re left handed, but still a bad angle for the draw.
It wouldn't occur to me to stow a sidearm of any size in a door pocket of any construction. There's too many negatives: Disclosing its presence when opening the door (for which the potential consequences shouldn't be underestimated), fouling movement of the seat and/or the driver's leg placement, clumsy retrieval during exigent circumstances (which could make all the difference), et cetera.

That the vendors on Amazon choose to suggest that use case is a bad look, bordering on negligence. I understand that they're making presumptions about the market, but that particular suggestion was a big swing-and-a-miss.

I agree, bad idea on both points; storing a pistol on the door and the seller‘s assumption on Jeep owners.

I have them with the flag. Good quality, simple install and you can leave the saggy nets. You can't slide the seat up past halfway, note.for shorter people. I like how they always show a pistol resting in there, lol, careful slamming the door!
Oh ok, so they do technically work with the caveat of not being able slide the seat all the way forward. Thank you, I'm really glad you pointed that out. Those aren't going to work me. Every once in awhile my wife will drive the jeep. She needs the seat all the way forward or darn close to it.

Ive had my eye on the overland for quite awhile, the interior door panel has to be removed and they're pricey but get great reviews. I think the soft pockets are actually more practical.
You don't need to remove the door panel. Super easy and very clear instructions. I just got the front set to try them out and may add the rear later.

Oh, at a glance and their photos I thought the door panel had to be completely removed. Now that you pointed it out and I actually read it, just need to pull the bottom part of the panel off. I might be able to accomplish that. (I think) Wow, thank you for pointing that out friend. 👍
