Nope.

I'm a firm believer that it makes sense for the average guy and gal. But I'm also a bigger believer in great public transit being the best choice for most so I recognize I'm on the backfoot in this beautifully nonsensical country we call the US of A.
yeah... im not a marxist so im not one to push for public transit forced on all.

im just saying that EVs were tried once about a hundred years ago and it failed then, its failing now.

well a lot of people have to defend their own purchases so theres that.

im simply pointing out that EV everything is rapidly coming out of favor and hopefully the marketplace will help EV find its proper place.

They're only falling out of favor because windmills cause cancer. I also can't believe how many people have been brainwashed into thinking that we have better technology today than we did a hundred years, or that the infrastructure and technology for EV/PHEV/etc. will advance as more of them are on the road. People fall for way too much propaganda pushed out to demolish the stronghold some corporations have over some markets.

Proving my point on the beautifully nonsensical land. 100 years ago they were lead acid batteries. EVs are taking off globally, but our land is self sabotaging because a portion of the country has forgotten how government plays a role in technology development and transportation infrastructure. Also, having good transit does not mean forcing it. Tokyo has fantastic transit. You can also still own a car there if you'd like. It's not either or.

You have proof of that or you're just a anti EV kind of guy?
NYCTA has 27 bus depots never heard of a EV fire.

MTA Announces Purchase of 265 New Zero-Emission Buses

almost every city got grants from government to buy them in the first place, and heres how its going so far from a 5 second search. notice its mostly about defects:

Summary Table

Agency / CityRoll Back Details
Des Moines (DART)Retired entire fleet due to unreliability; operational ~60%; granted waiver of grant payback
LA Metro (G Line)Replaced e-buses with CNG due to heat/stall issues and charging failures
Foothill TransitHigh failure rate; returned vehicles to FTA; $5M loss
First GlasgowTemporary withdrawal (structural problems); most buses returned to service
Albuquerque ARTRejected defective e-buses; switched to clean-diesel
School Districts (U.S.)Funding, delivery, and maintenance issues—some reverted to diesel

You can't expect anyone to take you seriously with statements like these. If you truly believe we don't have better technology than 100 years ago or that EV infrastructure and tech isn't advancing or hasn't advanced over the last 10 years, you've clearly fallen for some kind of propaganda campaign yourself, are severely misinformed, or both.

Global EV sales is basically all chyna, and chyna have been caught fudging the EV sales data, well because fudging data is the new normal these days, no one looks beyond the fancy graphics displaying %

Basically the government subsidize the new EV sales, then these EVs hit the used car market with ZERO miles on the odometer.

You should really "look beyond the fancy graphics displaying %".

First of all, it's not "fancy graphics." It's just a table.

Also, the data you googled randomly is more than 2 years old.

Germany is smaller than the State of Montana, and Germans managed to buy 700k units, 2 years ago. That number continues to increase.

Sweden, slightly larger than Montana by land area.

<more random data rage-googled to support an anti-ev, false narrative>
Again, analysis isn't your strong suit. It's ok. Despite eliminating a large subsidy, sales only contracted 27%, yet EV sales in 2024 were net positive and added to the total number of EV's on the road in Germany.

Also, 2025 EV sales in Germany, so far, are up 35% year over year.
