Do the readily available timing tool kits work on the 2020s and newer?

I have a new and noticeable engine tick on the passenger side. I likely need a new rocker arms and lifter, and possibly a new cam shaft, which I will look at when I get in there. My question is regarding the timing tool kit, which always says it has compatibility through 2019. I have a 2020. Does the same kit work on the 2020's? Or do I need something else? I cannot seem to find a kit that says it fits the 2020 3.6L.

For reference:
2020 Wrangler Unlimited Sport S, 3.6L with 6 speed manual. Anyone with hands on experience that can confirm one way or the other please?

I just did my ('21JLU) passenger side intake cam using a kit off Amazon. DP Tool I think.
It worked just fine.
t had 2 chain tensioner relief slides for the passenger side. the thicker one was for 2011.

Did you use OEM rockers? Or rockers from AllMoparParts? From somewhere else?

Order the bank 1 intake cam kit. The original cams are defective.

I used all OEM parts
RH intake camshaft kit, included the rockers
Intake lifters
exhaust rocker/lifter assemblies

I hear the cam can be hard to come by, long back order.
Got lucky, my local dealer had two in stock. Feel like I should have bought both.
He said they had been on back order so long that some of the ordered customers sought other means, so when the cams came in, they had some extras

That’s exactly what mine looked like.

Did the tools work for you?

It did work, but not as well as it should have.

The block that locks the timing chain in place between the teeth of the cam phasers was a very tight fit but that did work.

The tension release tool for the right side, part number 10369A did work well at all. After numerous attempts, I did get it to work well enough to get the job done, but it was not easy to install, and it did not go in straight, or clean. The back surface of the cam phasers, where the tool slides in, are not parallel to each other, and the tension release tool twists as it goes in, and it does not release very much tension.

Finally, when reinstalling the large 36mm oil control valve into the cam phaser, until it seats all the way, and locks into the phaser, the cam will spin as the nut is tightened. The wedge, and paint marks are critical due to this, and I had to use an adjustable wrench on the cam itself to hold it in place until eventually the nut/oil control valve threaded in deep enough, and the cam was locked in place. I could the torque it down.

Yep, pretty much the same. I used a plastic hammer to tap the phaser block into place. Shaved a little plastic on the way.
After that it went in and out a bit easier.
I chucked it up as a new tool getting broke in.

Same with the tension relief tool. Looked twisted. Tapped that in too.
I didn’t remove the cooling lines, so I had to pull them to the right fender to get the tool in.
Then forced the cooling lines over the tool back to the intake manifold.

Not the easiest thing to do.

But I got out of it for around $800 ,

As far as the cam spinning, yeah,
Really have to watch the small dowel alignment pin. I started tightening up on top of the pin. Something didn’t feel right, backed it off a bit and the pin fell into its hole with a little twist. Then everything went home.

Sure feels good to hear run quiet

Agreed... 100%, feels good to hear the quiet purr, and know I did it myself.

I did remove the cooling lines, so that was a bit easier. I also and had a bear of a time with the two dual threaded posts on the driver's side of the intake manifold.
