does the Mopar spare (37) relocation bracket work without the reinforcement?

Will this work standalone....without the reinforcement brackets, or is that piece mandatory?

I believe you can relocate without reinforcement but I wouldn’t do it.. you will crease your tailgate with a 37 for sure... couple pics already of creased tailgates
