Do Rubicons have an ECU Learning System?

I posted about " Towing with a 3.6L Gas" in that thread I put information that my 2021 Rubicon would not stay in eighth gear and wanted to settle into sixth and sometime seventh.

The next day with the trailer removed the same thing occurred I thought it was the -15F temp and a "stiff" vehicle. Never seeing sixth gear. I did notice that on the same road on the return trip it was starting too like the eighth again.

But today at 4 degrees it was a different beast and upshifted for 7-8 as it should. You know down shifting on uphill stretches and upshifting to eighth on the flats and downhill.

Does anyone know if JEEP Rubicon's has an ECU learning system? You know, a system in which the ECU adapts to driving and environmental conditions?

They have an ECU but is it a learning system? I really dont know. I'd be interested to hear more about that myself. I dont believe my jeep has a learning system, if it does, its about as useless as mine.

I did some research on the web after I posted. (Duh should have done that first.)

This one indicates it also has adaptive throttle or adaptive shifting.

It's all about load, temperature, throttle position, air density, and RPM. Most of the time it's smarter than we are. Although it can't "anticipate".
