No real tick sound but.......
Took it to the dealership. 2021 JLRU, 46K miles. P105D engine code and coolant is very low in back reservoir. Comical you have to agree to a $250 diagnostic fee for each.
Dealer called. Replaced solenoid but check engine light still on. Mechanic thinks it's the rocker arm issue but would need to open up the engine to diagnose. Covered under powertrain warranty "most likely". I had to agree to a possible $2500 diagnostic/put back together fee if they don't find an issue inside the engine..
Dealer: "We are getting a sample of the oil to test for anything that should not be in the oil. Once we have the oil test back we should have an idea on cause of failure.
We will then check parts and see what internally is failing. I will then run coverage and if approved have the needed part(s) installed. Thank you for your patience. I will let you know as soon as I have some sort of update from the tech."
Anything I should be calling out to them to check?
