Hey there,

Not sure if this should be located here, but has an option to permanently disengage the Enginer Stop-Start (ESS) been implemented in way that wont void my warranty?

Thank you!

Since the ESS only, functions when the seat belt is buckled I just got into the habit of click& push the button. Not so difficult.

How do you eliminate the need for the second battery ?? I just want to keep the main battery[large] like it used to be before this ESS came to be!! [if the smaller battery fails -the vehicle will not start ? ?] V6 engine Thanks Bob

Is this true? I disabled my seat belt chime. So I may have to try this out while not wearing a seat belt (in my neighborhood of course)

Yep it’s true. I turned my chime off too since I don’t like hearing it while I’m getting
situated. The ESS has to detect a lot of things before it will function. Seat belt being one of them. When I put mine on after a few moments of driving I click and push.

If you are wanting to just disable ESS very simply give Steve form Smart Start/ Stop a call or email, it’s a very simple module that literally takes less than 15 mins to plug in and your done, after it’s plugged you just push the ESS button to have it on or off and it remembers the last state.

I have been test running one for awhile and it’s perfect and works everytime, see my side by side compare here
