Followed a Jeep recently with a very experienced driver up John Bull on 40s with UD60s. There are spots you’re simply not going over or around boulders. I watched his diffs hit several times In the first uphill section. With my inexperience, all my skids and rear bumper took a beating. I wont give up my skids anytime soon. That's a great point, and honestly one of the things that I think about the most with the axles is how many shots the skids have taken for the yokes.
Now you've got me thinking more about it. I might just do both again on this Jeep. Long term plan is to get some UD60's under it, but it has to run in the mean time. We'll see.
