Temperature gauges (front and rear). I ran an experiment by tapping a set of OEM covers and towing from Houston to northern Wyoming and repeated the trip a few weeks later with the Mag-Hytecs. I saw 10-15 degrees difference in oil temperatures with (to the extent possible) everything else remaining the same.

I have a friend who TIG welds and so it was not that bad. I was going to change the oil anyway and so I did and then when I switched to the Mag-Hytec, I kept the oil that only a few weeks old and reinstalled it plus the difference to fill it to the full line since the Mag-Hytec held considerably more oil than the OEM cover.
I am looking for front and rear covers that have a dipstick, drain plug, and port for the temperature sending unit. I have a new set of ISS Pro gauges that I want to install on my JL (perhaps overkill, but I like the minutiae of the data points that can be gathered on a vehicle and sometimes it can save your bacon if numbers go awry with no explanation.
