Anyone using one of these and if so...

1. How is it and hood holding up? Have seen it used by a couple guys and seen here in only reference I could find that is shouldn't be used due to weight on hood over time.

2. If no issues, what did you do to mount it with the bead of sealer that is under the hood at the lip? Could grind it down a bit I guess to sit flush and a little silicone after but wondering what anyone else came up with.

I know there's several other workable options and may change but have this in hand.

Thanks for any information.

I have had this mount (K400SNMO) off the hood for about 4 years now. I have not noticed any issues. Didn't do anything special to install just held it in place on the hood, and screwed down the Allen screws to the inside of the hood. I am running a PulseLarsen NMO2/70B antenna. This is my daily driver, and fair amount of 75+ speeds. I ran the antenna wire from the engine bay through the A-Piller Cowl and then under the window to the interior. No holes to drill just remove screws and reinstall. Ran the power cable for the transciever through the same way direct to the battery. 73!

Thanks. Guess the tabs on mine were a little narrower but filed down some of the bead at the mounting tabs and went on find. Cable through the firewall, power to an Aux switch.
