2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. Just switched from iphone 13 pro to 15 pro. The “device not supported” alert wont go off. Carplay will not sync. Anyone?

Reboot phone and try different cables.

Go into radio apps. Look for projection manager (or something like that. Not in front of radio so don't recall 100%). Delete any old phone info from there.

So, I have been having this issue intermittently over the past 4 years. Recently, it got really bad. If I plugged it in, constant messages about the device not being supported, charge, disconnect, etc. I tried different cables, tried waiting a while after start up to plug it in, cleared cache and stored data in the app, force stopped the app, rebooted my phone, removed Bluetooth pairing between my Jeep and my phone, tried everything.

I was about ready to take it to the dealership and tried one last thing. You can't uninstall Android Auto from your phone, but you can uninstall all updates, which I did. I then updated the app again and plugged it into my Jeep and was prompted for the new Android Auto start up. I went through that and made sure Projection was enabled and it hasn't given me any problems since, for the two days since I did it. I hope this works for others as well.

Of course I did that. Most said change the cable, reset the radio or take it to the dealership. I shared what worked for me

Try Android, worked for me =)

I know, not helpful. Even with Android auto, every now and then I'll get that error, and I've noticed that it happens when my phone battery is at 100% already when i plug it in. As if the anti overcharge feature is somehow also killing the connection it needs for android auto. Not sure if there's any credence to that, but I usually let the phone battery go down a couple percent, then plug it in, has worked every time so far.

Tried that, it didn't work for me.
Do a factory reset on the radio and update from there. Something is flaky. I’ve had little to no problem on our MY22 Rubicon but our MY24 with UConnect 5 has been a massive headache.

I should have included YMMV. Good luck.

Yes I did, just offering advice on what I’ve seen and what worked for me on two different Wranglers but if you are going to cop an attitude with people who are genuinely trying to help then GFY. Have a good day.

Sorry, was my reply not relevant to the thread? OP posted a while back, you posted what worked for you, I posted what worked for me...

Not copping an attitude, but I posted how I fixed it and what I tried that didn't work for me. I am not looking to fix anything at this point, which is why I am confused as to why you're offering me solutions.

I posted what worked for me which was something I didn't find anywhere on these forums so hopefully it helps others fix it when some of the other suggestions don't.
