Heading to the Denver area for a concert at Red Rocks on 5/15. Driving my JLU Rubicon up from Dallas on Thursday 5/12 and will have Friday and Saturday free. Wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of some easy to intermediate trails that can easily be reached from Denver. Want to head in to Summit County maybe towards Vail one day so anything out that way as well.

Switzerland Trail is an easy one. Or check out Rampart Range which is further south. Depends where you are staying which is easier/faster to get to.

Check out trailsoffroad.com as you get closer to your travel date. Cascade creek is in idaho springs and isn't super difficult but a fun trail somewhat near Denver. Pickle gulch is also pretty close to Denver and should be clear by then.

Most of the trails in that area will be still covered in snow. Our high altitude trails really don't open until late June/July.
