I recently ordered a TYC 700356 blower motor from Autopartsgeek. The motor came promptly and I tried to install it right away. I figured I'd give it a go just plugging it in and winding on the blower controls. I had just done the same for the OEM blower and it works, but has a slight bearing noise that's irritating. No go. The TYC motor didn't even attempt to rotate. Tried several times plugging it in and unplugging it. Nada. So, I'm sending it back.

Anyone had luck with the TYC motor? Any other brands besides the OEM?

also are you sure the motor you bought is pinned the same, you should be able to bypass the switch and put 12vdc to the motor to get it to run

The TYC in tyc blower motors stands for take your chance…
? Funniest thing I've heard today. True. But still funny. I did have good luck with one of their condensers in my GMC pickup. It was a couple years into ownership of my 2014 GMC when the system leaked out of a spotweld failure. It had reached epidemic rate on all GM trucks and SUVs of the particular model run. No factory condensers were available nationwide and even aftermarket condensers were scarce. Dealers were getting the OK from GM to use aftermarket condensers. I found a Take Your Chance condenser for ~$100 and installed it and did my own recharge. Been fine for many years now. So, I figured they were worth a try with the blower. They actually have a US based warehouse and distribution system.

On the connector pin arrangement, all I know is their website and other seller's sites list the Wrangler and Gladiator as the specific application for this blower.

So, I ordered another TYC 700356 blower motor from a different source, this time from Rock Auto, while the other motor was in return shipment. My Jeep just got home from loan a few minutes ago and I tried it just plugging it in. No motor power or any reaction.

Apparently, TYC (Take Your Chance) is really a cover name for the main brand, NFC (No Friggin Chance).
