I’m looking to add a nice lockable lower profile drawer statement to the Jeep. Not many options, American Adventure lab, Goose Gear and TruckVault. All of them are crazy expensive, some awesome stuff but hot damn $2800-4000 is insane.

I really want to have something low profile where I can run it to back the passenger side front seat and I’d get rid of the rear passenger side seats. Leaving only the driver side available in case I have a passenger who doesn’t have 4 legs. I would like it to be metal and lockable. I’ve seen a couple nice builds on here but I’m curious has anyone tried to use a JT Decked system in their JLU?

And recommendations or schematics or Cnc files would be appreciated.

I don’t think it will fit and loved the decked system in my ford raptor. They do waste some space. Look at the rugged ridge drawers for Jlu. Very similar result as decked.

I went DIY custom because what's out there is priced crazy high and they waste a lot of space, taking the easy way out on the manufacturing end instead of maximizing storage. I knew I could do better.

You can easily find heavy duty locking drawer slides online at a much more reasonable price. Build your box and drawers around them.

I am sure I can make one better than most of whats for sale. I work in custom cabinetry and we've got an old dinosaur of a cnc in the shop and I have a couple friends who weld.
With the cost of materials these days it will still cost quite a bit to go with a self build.

If you go that route, I have one piece of advice. Most have a tendency to build it stronger and heavier than it needs to be. There's several parts of my DIY build that were I to do it again I'd change from stronger to lighter. Just isn't necessary.

Thank you, I’ll keep that in mind as I part and price things out.

The decked system won’t fit, the depth is too long. I’ve been trying to convince Decked for a while now to build drawers for SUV’s but they have zero interest and get snarky about it. Apparently missing out on a big chunk of market share is what they want. ?

Someone should step up and fill that void, I know there are a ton of JL owners that would love a decked style system in their Jeep’s, I know I would.

Right? Doesn’t even need to be specific to the vehicle. Find a few sizes that play well with the common off-road SUV’s and boom.
