Also, just for reference, the check engine light was flashing after I got her all charged up. I pulled the codes with my BlueDriver. All the codes were thrown due to the dead battery issue as I had literally just checked for codes last week and it came up clean.

Was able to reset them all except the "permanent" one that BlueDriver claims will resolve itself when I drive it, if it was indeed a glitch.

When I changed my battery and deleted the AUX this past August, i too had a throttle body control code which stuck around for about a day and a half. Put 60 miles on it and then on the 4th startup it was gone.

I was fearful because I was doing some DIY aftermarket mods with my oil filter, wasn't sure if I f'd something up, but it turned out okay. These EcoDiesels are pretty resilient. ☺

It'sort of a mystery to me as well, but there it is. We typically average 20K a year. I'll blame it on the fum to drive factor.
That sounds about right. I do about 15K year myself on the Wrangler. Most of that is unnecessary driving, for fun as well.

Welp, it's not looking good.
Aux unhooked now, main reading 12.2V this AM. Will have it load tested later this week.

Read through an excellent thread by @Rhinebeck01 on main battery replacement. Good info there.

My biggest issue now, if the main is bad, is OMG, when did batteries start costing $250+ ??

Check Walmart for a battery. Should be under $200 for an AGM.

Prices have indeed been silly for a little while now. I first noticed this after Advance Auto began selling Die Hard Gold batteries for 2+ C-notes. Nein, danke. I'll use my Costco membership to get an Interstate battery (granted, not the Megatron) for $119 or so.

I've run diehard batteries in 2 performance cars in the past. Both were supposed to have pretty awesome CCA ratings. They both died within 6 months. Never again. I've had good luck with Optima (buy once cry once) but never bothered to try Interstate. Might need to look into them in the future since I'm a new Costco member.

Just an update.

Gone 5 days Jeep completely dead. Recharged batteries. Gone 2 days, Jeep dead again.

Unhooked Aux battery, pulled that one fuse. Jeep sitting for 5 days. Checked battery, showing 95% charge.

So just another real-life story showing that shit Aux battery can kill the main.
