So I have lights on auxiliary 1 - 3 and I decided to test aux 4 in case I want to add an accessory. I hooked up a cube light to 4 and got nothing. The aux 4 button lights up, but there's nothing going to the wire...it's grounded with 1, 2, & 3 and the light works fine (can you have too many ground wires to a single point?). I tried again with brand-new wires and still nothing. I'm using the same wire gauge as I have on the others, and the Uconnect aux settings are all identical. I'm far from an expert on troubleshooting electrical problems, so I'm at a loss as to what the problem could be. The kit was dealer-installed.

At the risk of asking a stupid question - are you sure it's not the light? Also, did you check the fuse?

Make sure you hooked up to aux 4. From what I remember the ignition wire and aux 4 wire almost look identical. Its orange and pink and the other pink and orange. Double check this I'm almost sure this is the issue.(if using tester remember both of these wires will be "hot" if the car is on.)

You can have many grounds to one point.

For what it's worth, my Aux 2 was DOA from the factory. No light on the button. No power to its corresponding wire. I need to take it in on warranty.

Have you checked your MEDIA display/acc-???

The ECU controls your AUX SWITCHS and can be controlled under "SETTINGS"--ON YOUR DISPLAY (center dash)-

Checkitout !

Good luck

No question is dumb... I ain't in expert in this field. I used one of the lights from one of the other auxiliary connections. I didn't think to check the fuse... and of course... there's my problem. I'll replace it tomorrow & try again.

That was easy. Thanks a bunch...nothing to see here.

Had my main battery replaced and noticed Aux 3 and 4 no longer light up. I had completely forgotten about the ECU settings set from the steering wheel and viewed on the center dash display. Doh! Great place to start before I get the dealer involved. Thanks!
