Coming home from the beach today (literally 5 minutes from pulling out of driveway) with 202 miles left to go to get home my 2023 diesel’s dash lit up like a Christmas tree. (See pics). It showed the two things wrong in the message center that you see. I had over 1/4 of def fluid left in the reservoir/tank but decided to pull in to the store and put some in it. Called the dealer to see what was up and didn’t get anywhere really except you should be able to make it home with no issue. I did make it home but with decreased engine power. Get up and go got up and went pretty much. I went to my Jeep app and in my health report it’s not even mentioning what I’m seeing on my dash. It’s showing two other issues. (See other pics). Anyone have any idea what’s going on?

Holy cripes! What a gut punch to you from your new vehicle. Fingers crossed for ya, maybe an easy fix to a frivolous issue.

I'd try disconnecting both batteries, letting the system power down, and then reattach the batteries. That has worked for me in the past to clear a lightshow on my dash.

Check that your fuses are seated as well.

I absolutely agree with rickinAZ. To further that and in my opinion what solves this issue at least for me to date, is removing the auxiliary battery. I know many don't agree with me but I've had the same scenario that you experienced happen to me twice. Each time I was forced to limp my Jeep home in limp mode no power. Max Speed 25 miles an hour stuck in third gear. First time the day after I had to have it flatbedded to the dealership just to be told like the rest of us oh you had codes but nothing's wrong now and they send you on your merry way. NOW I completely removed the auxiliary battery because it is absolutely useless and in my opinion problem prone to many things just like this. Since I removed my auxiliary battery I have had zero issues. It's my guess you do not have the Banks Derringer or pedal enhancer. In some threads recently people are blaming the Banks system for causing these issues. My dealership prove that wrong because they have tested it with and without the Banks hocked up. They are outstanding dealership and not biased for aftermarket add-ons like the majority dealerships are. They want to help solve the problem not only for me but for many others.
By the way I told the dealership the last time I would be removing the auxiliary battery and he said ok "we can't do that but that's up to you". "if it ever occurs again just pull the positive and negative off the main battery wait 5 minutes and reconnect and you should be good to go". "You and most cases not need to come to the dealership" "it'll be almost the same as us flashing and clearing the codes for you".
Good luck on pulling BOTH positive and negative cables on the side of the road somewhere off both batteries when and if this does happen. And watch what happens when you get a dead battery if you haven't disconnected your auxiliary battery.

Can someone please point me to the best DIY thread on (permanently) removing the auxiliary battery. I've had my ESS defeated since new, and now the auxiliary battery is just a potential liabilty.

TIA

It's not the best but it's the only one that's pertinent to the Eco Diesel, that I could find. It was easy enough the wife and I followed it step by step with 100% success. We're tempted to create our own video with better camera angle and editing. The good news is the EcoDiesel is much much easier than any other powertrain options when changing or eliminating the auxiliary battery. Watch the video and you'll see why. Hope this helps. PM if you need any other info. On this✌

Might have been posted in a thread here that failures get first dibs on replacements as recalled units wait in line. Best of luck for you.

Tim, we just wish there was a "line" to wait in. There doesn't seem to be a process to establish the order that they'll address the recalls when the pumps become more widely available.

I wrote Jeep about the recall and whined a bit. Just to poke them but probably never hear back!

I was like it is late July last I read was supposed to be something happening. Of course depends on where you read.

That’s what I’m praying for! I noticed they’re driving it around today.

I did too! I’ve read mid August myself. The service advisor has no idea but “ it shouldn’t be long.” On my way now to pick up a loaner.

Sorry to hear all that, but maybe you will get a new system installed.

Plus really sucks with Farout those were the last ones built!

They got back to me quick

Thank you for reaching Jeep Customer Care. I hope you're doing well.

I understand that you're looking to resolve the active safety recall, code 01A for 2021-2023 - Multiple Vehicles with 3.0L Diesel Gen in your 2022 JEEP WRANGLER UNLIMITED RUBICON. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We understand that recalls are an important matter and the safety of our customers is our top priority.

After checking our system, it looks like we don't have any parts available yet for this recall, and we haven't mailed out any owner letters either. Rest assured that once we have the necessary parts, you'll receive a letter from us.

In the meantime, you can always check the parts availability online through our website at https://www.mopar.com/en-us/my-vehicle/recalls/search.html. All you have to do is enter your VIN, and you'll see if the part is available or not.

To make things even easier for you, I'll be escalating this case to an account specialist. They'll be monitoring your case and will keep you updated once we have the needed parts. Please keep this case number XXXXXXXXX as your reference.
